Are you a passionate Mechanical Engineer, looking for an exciting new role?

Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Rochester working as part of their Engineering team.

Principle Responsibilities for the Mechanical Engineer:

- Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to
- Self-motivated, driven, and able to work without direct supervision
- Able to understand mechanical drawings
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary
- Drawings are provided from time to time, however using own initiative is essential
- Self-motivated, professional team player
- Good attention to detail is vital to this role
- Full clean driving licence due to our factory's rural location, own transport will be required
- Able to work away occasionally (Globally) on large installations
- All respondents to this position must be eligible to live and work in the UK

Person specification:

- Able to operate and maintain lathe, milling machines, guillotine, press break
- Sheet metal fabrication all to a high standard
- Ability to select appropriate machine and settings for a given task
- Performs machine maintenance and minor repairs
- Welding experience would be ideal but not necessary

This is a full time permanent Mechanical Engineer position, Monday - Friday 08am - 5pm, offering an annual salary of £25,000 - £35,000 plus annual company benefits to include a 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, pension scheme, free parking, PPE paidfor and included.
