Overview:
We are offering a fixed term contract up until the end of December.

**Responsibilities**:

- Book panellists to appear on the show, making sure we have the right balance and pairings
- Build up and maintain a strong relationship with those panellists
- Come up with ideas for new panellists and book them for the programme
- Chase and secure interviews with celebrity guests and make sure we have the relevant footage and material needed for their interview
- Liaise with political parties and MPs to secure interviews with high profile politicians
- Come up with ideas for debates based on the guests you have booked for the programme
- Make sure producers are fully briefed about guests
- Ensure our guests are representative of our audience in terms of regionality and diversity
- Must be flexible about working hours and able to step in when new guests are needed or breaking news happens

Qualifications:

- A great contacts book
- A strong understanding of daytime debate shows
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written/visual) and interpersonal skills
- The ability to independently manage guests and their appearances
- Knowledge and experience of topical issues and current affairs
- The ability to spot and secure a news-making interview
- Enthusiastic and passionate
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently and manage multiple projects
- The highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail
- Adept at working independently - a self-starter who is comfortable at being stretched
- Calm under pressure with the ability to adapt and be flexible in the task and role
- Experience of legal situations and understanding of media law and ITN Legal Compliance procedures
