**If so the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) the military equivalent to the Civilian Aviation Authority (CAA) is recruiting for a Quality Support Administrator.**
Part of the Defence Safety Authority (DSA), the MAA is the organisation responsible for the regulation, surveillance, inspection and assurance of the Defence Air operating and technical domains. It ensures the safe design and use of military air systems. As the single regulatory authority responsible for regulating all aspects of Air Safety across Defence, the MAA has full oversight of all Defence aviation activity. Through independent audit and continuous surveillance of military aviation, the MAA aims to provide the Secretary of State for Defence (SOS), through Director General DSA (DG DSA), the necessary assurance that appropriate standards of Air safety are maintained in delivering operational capability
**Job description**:
This permanent role is ideal for someone to develop and progress professionally and contribute towards building and maintaining a robust and effective Quality Management System (QMS) in a welcoming and flexible team. The role is an enabling position within the Quality Team and therefore is suited to someone wanting to build upon previous experience gained within a quality function or those wishing to progress into the Quality profession
This highly rewarding role will offer you the opportunity to be a member of a diverse and multi-skilled team of circa 190 personnel. The MAA is a stimulating and forward thinking organisation committed to improving and assuring the provision of safe capability to people across Defence worldwide.
**Responsibilities**:
As a member of the MAA BusCompliance Team, the post holder is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in the development of quality processes and procedures. The post holder will also co -ordinate with all MAA business departments to support them when aligning with the QMS and driving continuous improvement opportunities.
A primary responsibility is maintaining an internal MAA Document Control Register and to provide the MAA Quality Manager with regular feedback on its usage and status.
Ensure the MAA remain aligned with MOD Quality policies and practices based on international standards.
Assist the Quality Manager in defining business processes and procedures in conjunction with MAA operational staff.
To support the MAA’s approach to business governance, assurance, improvement and quality standards through using a range of Quality tools and techniques.
To assist the Quality Manager in driving the MAA to formulate, agree and implement comprehensive quality procedures. This work is underpinned by an internal audit process which the quality team support.
Support the Quality Manager in collating, analysing and monitoring QMS performance through the gathering of performance data against defined parameters and producing statistical system reports. Raise any identified issues or concerns with the Quality Manager.
To be an additional point of contact for the MAA Divisional Quality Reps (in house working group) on the direction of QMS and associated activities and to support the Quality Manager in facilitating the Quality Representative Working Group and Information Management Working Group.
