Kitchen Assistant

Lovett Care is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our amazing team at Charlotte House. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with our team to deliver a quality service for a diverse group of residents.

**This position is for 22 hours per week, with a salary of £10.90 per hour.**

**What does a typical day look like?**
- Prepare all foods, as directed by the Chef
- Assist and execute various kitchen duties such as ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to
- Assist in preparation and serving of all meals, in a timely manner
- Liaise with care team members and residents in a polite and person-centred way
- Assist in identifying items to be ordered to ensure enough levels of supplies for catering operation from specified suppliers
- Operate an efficient stock control system
- Ensure equipment supplied is used with care, in accordance with suppliers’ instructions and training
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any faults immediately
- Prepare food items under the guidance of the chef and support the delivery and serving of food, if required
- Understand the specific diets identified as required by residents, and share any dietary concerns with the chef
- Be responsible for understanding Health and Safety requirements.
- Any incidents or accidents to be reported to the chef, and appropriately recorded and actioned
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
- Completion of mandatory E-Learnings.
- To embed and demonstrate our company values throughout your working day.

**What qualifications to you need?**
- Experience is highly valued
- Approved Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate is desired, but not essential
