We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Reward and Wellbeing team as the Benefits Specialist. This role is essential in supporting the Benefits Manager with the delivery of benefits and policies, both in the UK and internationally.

As the Benefits Specialist, you will ensure colleagues understand and utilise the benefit offering. You will ensure the smooth running of benefits, support budgeting, and manage the accurate and timely exchange of relevant data between Virgin Atlantic and suppliers. Additionally, you will communicate benefits internally and advise colleagues and the People Hub on escalated benefit queries.

This role reports to the Benefits Manager and sits within the Reward and Wellbeing department. You will work closely with the Reward & Benefits team, People Operations, Resourcing, Payroll, and external stakeholders such as brokers, providers, and vendors.

Day to day
- Support the Benefits Manager in delivering end-to-end cyclical benefit reviews and renewals, negotiating best rates, and coordinating contract approval.
- Ensure timely collation, analysis, and delivery of data to support benefit renewals.
- Deliver internal benefit policies and documentation, ensuring they are up to date, accurate, and accessible.
- Coordinate quarterly account reviews with external partners, auditors, consultants, and vendors.
- Input to the budgeting process with analysis, ensuring all benefits are appropriately budgeted.
- Support annual pension statement data and auto-enrolment.
- Drive continuous improvement in benefit processes through learnings and present recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure the People Hub team is equipped to answer first-line benefit queries by creating guides, FAQs, and running upskill sessions.
- Promote our benefit proposition and discount offering across the company.

About you
- Sound understanding and proven experience in comprehensive benefit packages (risk benefits, flexible benefits, discount platforms).
- CIPD Qualified or working towards / or equivalent HR background experience.
- Numerate with an enquiring mindset, focus on continuous improvement and able to tell a story through use of data and analytical insight
- Ability to produce high quality guidance document/FAQ’s and support resources for our benefit offering
- High level of drive, enthusiasm, tenacity, and resilience, working collaboratively and have the ability to be a key team member.
- Experience in working with HR and benefit platform systems.
