**About us**

Albany Care Group is a privately-owned care provider supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities / Mental Health / Challenging Behaviour and other complex needs, with homes located in and around Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Northampton. We are seeking Support Workers to assist with all aspects of daily life to ensure that individuals thrive within our environment.

**What we are looking for**:
As a Support Worker Apprentice, your role will be to provide one to one support for our residents including personal care, cooking for/with them, accompanying them on days out, and generally providing a friendly face for them to engage with. Other duties will include record keeping and medication administration. Our service is home to 5 residents.

**About the role**:

- The apprentice will work on alternating shifts, carrying out a total of 42 hours per week.
- It is desired that applicants have some previous care experience.
- We are offering £10 per hour, and you will receive a welcome bonus of £50 upon successful completion of your 3 month probation.
- Future prospects could include progressing into the role of a Senior Support Worker or a Team Leader.

**About the training**:
During the apprenticeship, you will be training towards a Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker certification and a TQUK Diploma in Care. Over the course of 18 months, you will study modules such as personal development in care settings, the responsibilities of a care worker, handling information in care settings, implementing person-centred care plans, safeguarding & protection in care settings, duty of care in care settings, communication in care settings, equality & inclusion in care settings and health & safety and wellbeing in care settings (these units may differ).
