This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Health & Safety to join a small and friendly Health & Safety team, in a proactive and hands on role, where you will bring your knowledge and expertise to guide their colleagues and contractors across the breadthof Health & Safety disciplines, including Building Safety and Fire Safety.
About the role
They are looking for a best-practice focused, approachable Health & Safety professional, with a good understanding and knowledge of all relevant legislation and best practice applicable to health & safety in the social housing sector.
The Head of Health & Safety should have excellent written and spoken communication skills in order to explain health and safety requirements to a range of people, deliver group presentations and toolbox talks, train and coach individuals and to write a varietyof reports. The role holder is also our clients lead contact with local, relevant authorities including the HSE and Fire Authorities.
At them, it’s important that they continually engage with their customers, so the ability to quickly build relationships with colleagues at all levels and communicate effectively is essential, and they are looking for a team player who can hit the groundrunning. You should possess Professional Health & Safety qualifications equivalent to NEBOSH, NVQ or NCRQ, and hold a driver’s licence.
