Applications are invited for the role of Health & Safety Officer in the School of Engineering. You will be part of the Professional Services team in the School reporting to the Head of Operations, working with colleagues across the Faculty of Science and Engineering and liaising with the University¿s Safety Adviser's Office. The School comprises some 170 staff and 1500 students, with teaching and research across a wide range of Engineering subjects. Experience in a similar university would be an advantage, but similar knowledge from industry or commercial organisations would be a valuable addition to the role. NEBOSH certification or equivalent is required, along with a commitment to further development. The University has adopted the HASMAP management standard, and knowledge of this and its implementation would be an advantage. The University has the right to close the vacancy early if it is deemed that there have been enough applications received.
