Our prestigious client on the outskirts of Didcot is currently recruiting for an Events Organiser to join their existing team. The role will involve planning, organising and overseeing the successful delivery of the companies' events and ensuring the smoothand successful delivery of the event within budget including events run on behalf of other organisations.

Role Responsibilities:

- Liaising with the appropriate internal team for each event, working to an overall event brief, including aims, objectives, and budget, ensuring the successful delivery of the event.
- On the day management of the event liaising with the venue, AV suppliers, speakers, and others.
- Liaising with appropriate venues and specialist suppliers to negotiate costs and agree contracts, ensuring terms and conditions can be adhered to and payments are made within the set time frames.
- Research and develop programme content which aligns to the company's strategy as agreed with the Board. Developing an event that also delivers on the objectives & budget as set out in the event brief, approaching, and confirming speakers, and briefing themif required.
- Working with the Commercial team to create attractive sponsorship packages that deliver value to stakeholders, overseeing progress and liaising at the event.
- Creating effective communications, liaising with PR to ensure suitable event coverage, targeted specifically to the appropriate audience.
- Creating marketing plans to ensure events are promoted to the right audience across a range of media and advertising, delegating responsibility to the Events Administrator for aspects of the plan, liaising with the Marketing team on delivery.
- Ensuring Health & Safety, Insurance and security regulations are adhered to at each event.
- Regularly recording member contact ensuring that the interaction and outcomes are input to the membership database (CRM) to maintain records and reference member data.
- Following organisational process and procedures to ensure member expectations and agreed service level agreements are met.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in conference and/or events management
- Effective written, verbal and electronic communication and influencing skills with both members, trade partners and team workers
- Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills
- An eye for detail with the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and within a small team supporting multiple events concurrently
- Excellent IT literacy, with demonstrable knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Educated to A Level standard or equivalent
- Prepared to travel for external meetings and conferences, which may involve overnight stays, with a willingness to be flexible on hours, when necessary
- Full UK Driving Licence
