South Coast Port Services Ltd (SCPS) are seeking a HR Administrator to be based at our Container Division in Southampton. The role will be office based Monday to Friday for 37.5 hours a week.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wishes to join a hardworking and friendly Company in the shipping industry. You will work closely with the General Operations Manager and HR Advisor to ensure a high-quality HR Administration service is delivered to the business.
**Main Duties/Responsibilities**:
As an **HR Administrator**, you will be a part of a small team and will be accountable for supporting and administrating the HR function in all areas. You will be required to take minutes and issue all correspondence relating to the following procedures including:
- Recruitment & selection, investigations, disciplinary, attendance management, grievances, Occupational Health referrals, probationary reviews, general meetings as well as assisting the HR team with ad hoc projects and duties when required.
You will also be responsible for general administrative tasks including maintaining employee and general files, updating and responsible for the HR Database, filter and deal with all incoming calls in relation to HR, filing, scanning, post, photocopying etc.
**The main requirements for the position are;**
**Essential**:
- Educated to A-Level standard
- Previous experience of working in an HR Administration position within a busy environment
- A desire to work in a fast-paced HR department
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage own time
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise
**Desirable;**
- CIPD Level 3
- Ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to demonstrate a professional, confident and can-do attitude
