Electronic Fitter / Assembler Monday to Thursday, 35hrs p/w CO4 9QX, Colchester Competitive salary + Benefits Vacuumatic began manufacturing machines from our head office in the UK in 1951 and are now proud to be a world leader in paper counting technology, supplying state of the art equipment to the security and commercial print sectors. We distribute their productsworldwide through our network of distributors and subsidiary sales and service office based in Wesel, Germany. We are situated on the Severalls Industrial Estate in Colchester and are looking for an experienced Electronic Fitter/Assembler to assemble and test machines and sub-assemblies to exceptional standards. Ideally skilled to BTEC or above in electrical engineering or assembly, or previously served in an apprenticeship. As an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, quality assurance and meeting customers’ needs are at the forefront of their operations. About the Electronic Assembly Role: Your responsibilities, proven knowledge and experience will include: - Panel wiring. - Electrical fault finding. - Crimping. - Soldering. - Cable/loom assembly. - Working from electrical diagrams/schematics/drawings. - Basic mechanical assembly. - Efficient, enthusiastic, and methodical in their work. You will: - Live in the Colchester area or within a 30 minute radius commute by car. - Have previous electronic assembly and soldering experience. - A "can do" attitude and ability to work as part of a team with mínimal supervision. - Ability to work to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy. - A reliable, conscientious, and hard-working mind set. - You must be eligible to work in the UK.
