The Role
Head of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics

**This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Philosophy, Religion and Ethics teacher with a passion for excellence and innovation in teaching.**

To be successful you will need to:
- Be able to teach Philosophy, Religion and Ethics across the whole ability range in KS3, KS4 and KS5.
- Have skills in communication, collaboration, listening, adaptability, empathy, and patience
- Possess outstanding teaching ability
- Think creatively to anticipate and solve problems
- Embody the values of ‘Achievement through Caring’
- Have high expectations of yourself and be a role model to others
- Play a pivotal part in the Philosophy, Religion and Ethics Department
Key Responsibilities:
- To support the Headteacher and SLT in meeting whole school priorities and realising the Academy’s shared vision.
- Support and promote strong positive working relationships, deploying staff appropriately.
