Job description

As part of our commitment to the community we are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent people and communication skills to join the Community Engagement Team within Neighbourhoods.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a community officer to join the team in leading and representing the communities we serve. You will be responsible for understanding, evaluating and addressing the needs of our local communities and working with the community engagement team to make these a reality. An understanding of community involvement with the ability to work alongside and motivate residents is essential.
- Have proven ability of community engagement work
- The ability to engage with people from all backgrounds and strong networking skills
- Be able to prioritise workload and to work to deadlines
- Have a good knowledge of community participation methods
- Be able to collate & read data to determine actions for projects within a community based on different sources of information
- Have good organisational skills
- Be confident and flexible approach
- Have the ability to use your initiative and manage your own time
