**Reports to**:Group Finance Manager

**Location**:Glasgow, office based

**The opportunity**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performance Finance team in one of Scotland’s most successful private companies. As a key member of our Purchase Ledger team, you will be part of a fast-paced and high-volume group and tasked with carrying out all aspects of the Accounts Payable function.

You will possess strong attention to detail and will be a core member of the Head Office Finance team, using your skills as an analytical thinker and clear communicator to liaise with the key stakeholders across the business.

**Experience/ skill requirements**
- Bookkeeping experience
- Experience working with Foreign currencies
- Self-discipline
- Good team working skills
- Ability to work to monthly deadlines
- Good IT skills

**Advantageous**
- Prior experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
- Prior Purchase Ledger experience

**Duties**
- Allocation and authorisation of purchase invoices.
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the Purchase Ledger.
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries as required by company.
- Process business expense returns.
- Cashbook allocation of payments to invoices.
- Review of unallocated cash and credits.
- Filing invoices and statements, keeping records of all products and services purchased with company money.
- Processing BACS payments and preparing payment runs.
- Month end duties - to assist the Accountant with preparation of month end reports and ledger reconciliation.
- Handling any purchase enquiries or disputes with suppliers.
- Maintaining strong business relationships with suppliers.
- Ad-hoc queries and projects.
