This newly created role is designed to support communities across Doncaster to engage with learning and overcome common challenges that prevent learners from attending and completing courses. As a Pastoral & Attendance Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting lifelong learning and supporting our commitment to Lifelong Learning & Employment Progression, helping adults gain the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving job market.
What you’ll do:
- Provide 1:1 pastoral care, guidance, and support to adult learners, including signposting to relevant services.
- Champion equality, diversity, and safeguarding, advocating for learners who need additional support.
- Monitor and improve learner attendance, participation, and progression, working closely with tutors and curriculum teams.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure learners receive holistic support.
- Support learner inductions, tutorials, and enrolment sessions, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to case conferences and service improvement meetings.
