**Salary**:£35,000 - £45,000 /year + Benefits (listed below)

**About us**

Our Company is a successful in-house building consultancy providing strategic property and commercial real estate advice to a large property developer. Based in Manchester, we manage a commercial property portfolio of office and industrial buildings, predominantlyacross the Northwest of England.

We work collaboratively with our supply chain partners in delivering innovative bespoke and high-quality solutions for Industrial, new build developments and refurbished projects.
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our established Accounts team at our busy South Manchester office.

**Your Main Responsibilities**
- Production of timely and accurate management accounts
- Management of the company’s property portfolio, including leases and associated costs and charges.
- Provide project accounting support as required
- Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns, monthly payroll, statutory accounts, and tax
- Preparing the year-end statutory accounts for entities and consolidation
- Point of contact for the external audit and tax bodies
- Setting up, reviewing, and maintaining utility contracts across the business
- Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
- Maintaining customer and supplier accounts
- Recommend changes that will improve the company's financial performance and financial controls
- Undertake any additional duties or responsibilities that are deemed required by the business to support the daily operations of the business

**What We Require**
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Qualified finance professional CIMA or ACCA would be preferable
- A confident, motivated individual with strong communication skills
- Ability to manage and mentor junior members of finance team
- Excellent attention to detail and be a logical and methodical thinker
- Proven technical skills and ability in the role with a record of accomplishment for delivering outcomes
- Good presentation and communications skills
- Highly computer literate with experience of accounting packages including Microsoft Office suite and SAGE
- Able to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to multi-task, under pressure and meet deadlines as required
- Strong planning and organisation skills
