**Job Title: Yard Driver**

**Location: BCA Bedford**

**Salary: £21,065**

**Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 (40 hours a week)**

**Job Status: Permanent**

**Main purpose of the job**:
To assist with the daily operations of a busy auction centre through driving and parking various types of vehicles around the yard. Due to the size of our Auction Centres our Yard Driving roles may require a lot of walking and being on your feet through out the day in all types of weather conditions.

**Main responsibilities**:

- **Store and park all vehicles on site** between the yard and the auction halls, via agreed valet/wash services, so that vehicles enter and leave the auction halls in accordance with the notified sale day programme.
- **Barcode all new vehicles** on arrival and tag keys.
- **Log and remove** any valuable items left in vehicle.
- Be responsible for **jump starting vehicles** when needed, on-site training provided.
- **Line and lot vehicles** for auction, ensuring they are neat, tidy, and presentable for auction.
- Politely refer any issues, queries, or complaints to the relevant manager.
- Undertake any other tasks in the yard department to ensure that operational requirements are met.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence
- Be physically fit as the role involves a lot of walkig
- Able to work in all types of weather conditions
- Able to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines
- Willingness to help other departments out when needed
