**Job Purpose**
Responsible for the sourcing of, and co-ordination thereafter of company plant, equipment and vehicles. Liaising with site management to ensure that deliveries and collections are arranged on time, with clear and concise instruction for the supplier, whilst meeting the needs of ever-changing contract requirements.
Ensuring all vehicles, plant & equipment are maintained, serviced and repaired and are in good working order by liaising with drivers, operators and suppliers. All calibration and inspection schedules are met and data and certification is kept up to date.
**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Liaising with site personnel on forthcoming contract requirements.
- Sourcing plant and equipment along with suitable suppliers and placing purchase orders.
- Matching of resulting delivery/collection notes and general admin and data upkeep.
- Maintaining accurate records of all vehicles, plant & equipment, and ensuring all necessary maintenance / repairs are carried out at the earliest possible convenience with minimum disruption to site operations.
- Analysis of daily defect checks and prioritising order.
- Ensure all required calibrations and inspection dates are recorded and maintained for all relevant equipment and the documentation is up to date.
- Prepare accurate cost reports of all utilised plant & equipment on all current contracts and submit to Plant & Transport Director on a weekly and monthly basis.
- To provide accurate information to support and enable the payment of invoices.
- To contribute to the continuous improvement in the safety, quality, efficiency & effectiveness of the services delivered to Carnell customers while being Carbon Conscious.
**Skills & Capabilities required may include**
- Coordination of vehicles, plant, or both.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Basic understanding of relevant health & safety legislation.
- Admin skills and attention to detail.
- Confident when liaising internally and externally.
- Familiar with UK logistics.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.

- To undertake other miscellaneous activities/project work deemed appropriate for the role of Plant & Transport Co-ordinatorsupport to assist with the efficient operation of the business.
- Deal with sensitive information with discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
