**Director of Cloud & Hosting Services**

Modis are currently working in partnership with a market leading solutions provider to recruit a Director of Cloud & Hosting Services to join their senior leadership team. This highly senior appointment will be responsible for leading c300 IT professionalsin the delivery and continuous development of Cloud and Hosting services into internal and external clients.

**This role is fully homebased but with flexibility to travel as and when required.**

**The Role**

As Director of Cloud & Hosting services you will provide Hosting and Cloud Services through the management of infrastructure and services from on-premise infrastructure and private cloud as well as public cloud (Primarily Azure, AWS).

You will get an opportunity to work the skilled teams to develop all of Cloud Service offerings, establish new offerings in an ever-changing environment, optimise cloud usage and further develop strategic direction and cloud adoption.

**The Responsibilities**
- Manage and establish priorities for run, maintenance, design, development and analysis of entire server & storage infrastructure, with focus on quality of services.
- Supervise data centre operations team and lead, direct and utilize knowledge on best practices in area related to infrastructure.
- Support the data centre strategy and recommend modifications as appropriate to adjust for changing circumstances and conducts capacity planning for the data centre.
- Support the strategy and transformation team with the migration to the cloud.
- Interlock with the Software team to understand software deployment strategy and appropriate cloud capacity planning.
- Ensures audit and compliance reviews by implementing processes and procedures.
- Drives the adoption of cloud and helps mitigate the perceived risks associated.
- Interlock with the Security team on all elements of cyber security and compliance for both DC's and Cloud.
- Provide assistance into Bid cycles including Bid Reviews and bid governance.
- Drive the simplification and standardisation of processes and tools used across all the business.
- Ensure the function is properly aligned and integrated across the business in order to positively contribute to the financial performance of the company.
- Provide strong leadership and direction in a matrix management structure to promote best practices in respective areas across the organisation to ensure successful delivery.
- Develop and deliver service roadmaps for all relevant tooling and work toward continual service improvement and automation.
- Be fully accountable for the financial performance of area, with reporting and presentation at governance.
