We have an exciting opportunity for a Change Lead (Capacity Market) (Global Grade 7) to join the Resourcing Team on a 24 month fixed term contract (FTC).

Rules Management is split between BSC Change, BSC Administration and support for the Capacity Market Advisory Group (CMAG). The BSC Change team progresses changes to the BSC through a structured governance framework, matrix managing multidisciplinary teams from across Elexon’s organisation to developing and assisting in the implementation of technical solutions to complex problems. Similarly, the CMAG team administers the CM Rules Change process on behalf of the GB energy regulator, Ofgem. The team provides secretariat support for the CMAG and provides technical expertise on the design and technical aspects of the CM framework to external stakeholders across industry, the regulator and government. The BSC Administration team are the guardians of all controlled documentation, ensuring new versions of documents are implemented into the live operational BSC accurately in line with agreed implementation dates. The BSC Administration team also supports the operation of the industry Committees that oversee Elexon’s work. Rules Management also manage the Digital Code product.

**Job Purpose**
The Change Lead works within the Change team and may be matrixed in to work on different areas of change, as the business needs. This means your line manager (responsible for your performance and well-being) and your matrixed manager (responsible for managing your day-to-day work) may not always be the same. The role is positioned within a team of Change Leads and Senior Change Leads.

They shall be effective at researching technically complex topics, writing technical reports of up to 10,000 words in a plain English and customer-friendly style, and presenting findings to groups of industry representatives and industry decision boards. The Change Lead shall also need to meticulously plan and organise their own workload to ensure they meet challenging deadlines.

The Change Lead should also seek to proactively develop and improve team processes for the benefit of colleagues and customers of Elexon.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Research and assess the impact of industry change, and draft technical reports of up to 10,000 words in a plain English manner, presenting findings to industry decision boards
- Ensure full availability of information to market participants (our customers) in a timely manner through internal and external change records e.g. website, spreadsheets and internal change tracking software.
- Plan and organise your own workload to ensure you can deliver a demanding portfolio of work under pressure to tight timescales and inflexible deadlines
- Lead on industry engagement with electricity industry participants, the regulator (Ofgem), government (Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ)) and any other relevant stakeholders
- Manage and facilitate internal meetings and external industry working groups including presenting content where necessary
- Support organisation-wide change planning activities to ensure resources are available to support the changes you are responsible for
- Support the wider Rules Management team for any ad-hoc work that needs to be delivered

- To have or be able to acquire an awareness of the GB electricity market arrangements, including Code frameworks.
- To have or be able to acquire knowledge of the change governance obligations and processes that we operate
