MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a **Management Accountant** for a fast growing and successful business, based on the outskirts of Colchester. As a **Management Accountant** you will have complete control over the record, processing, and reporting for a division of the group, with a view to progressing to Financial Controller in the future.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Accurate preparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliation of ledgers
- Working with team members to prepare monthly cash forecasts
- Monthly/quarterly sign off of CIS and VAT returns as prepared by the accounts assistant (and covering as required)
- Checking supplier payment runs
- Backup for the daily reconciliation of the bank account
- Assisting the operational teams with management of the customer ledger
- Monitoring of projects budget vs actuals
- Management and maintenance of the supplier ledger
- Assisting administrative assistants with purchase ledger bookkeeping and processing of invoices
- Management of the invoice approval system
- Any other adhoc tasks as required by the business

**Key Skills & Attributes**:

- Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA or Qualified By Experience
- Knowledge of CIS and VAT return preparation
- Good knowledge of Sage and Microsoft packages
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Methodical and organised approach
- Good team player
- Ability to manage time effectively
