Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Night Shift Duty Manager for a Freight Forwarder that specialises within Perishable shipments.The role will be responsible for The Warehouse and Transport operation. The company are a busy niche sector Freight Forwarderbased in the Heathrow area.

**MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB**:

- Responsible for the warehouse and transport operation and provide clear instructions and guidance to all warehouse operatives.
- To ensure all company procedures such as health and safety, security regulations and all other compliance areas are adhered too.
- To efficiently and professionally liaise and deal with all customer and supplier requests whilst maintaining the company’s standard and reputation.

**DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prioritise tasks in order to ensure all shipments are processed and managed in accordance to their requirements.
- Understand, execute and support implementation of new working procedures deemed necessary by the company.
- To achieve the targets, quality and job standard set out by your manager.
- Manage resources in an effective and efficient manner by providing clear instructions and guidance and supporting your team by leading by example.
- Complete all necessary documentation and system functions in line with company requirements.
- Be punctual and flexible at all times and give yourself sufficient time to obtain necessary handover.
- Perform reasonable requests from management as the business needs change and develop.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Be adaptable to satisfy the needs of customer and business requirements whilst managing all company resources in a cost-effective manner.
- Ensure H&S and Security policies are maintained at all times by staff and visitors.

**KEY PERSONEL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES**
- Experience in dealing with customers, suppliers and other external authorities.
- Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
- Experienced in managing and leading a small warehouse team and able to liaise accordingly with peers. Experience working in high pressure environment whilst maintaining complete accuracy.
- Fork-Lift licence is necessary
- Frequent and repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting
- Able to work in a team environment and use own initiative
- Working to a high standard at all times and lead by example
- Able to support management to implement new procedures and processes
- Desirable to have X-Ray training or capability of undergoing training
- Minimum CO security trained

Working hours are 4 nights on 4 nights off
