Our client, based in Lye requires a team of Foundry Operatives. Long term opportunities and the role offers the possibility of a permanent position following a successful trial period. Overtime available.

**Responsibilities of the Foundry Operative**:

- Control the furnaces that melt metal.
- Put together wax patterns used in castings.
- Transfer molten metal from the furnace to moulds.
- Operate die casting machines.
- Grind surplus metal off castings with abrasive wheels.
- Use shot blasting machinery to clean castings.
- Operative in the moulding line up.

**Requirements of the Foundry Operative**:

- Must have experience of working in a foundry.
- Reliability and dependability.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Self-motivated.
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks.

**Pay rate & Hours**:

- 05:00am to 13:00pm or 07:00am to 15:00pm.
- £12.10 per hour rising to £12.50 per hour after 12 weeks.
- Overtime at £16.13 per hour after 44 hours.
- After 12 weeks overtime rate becomes £16.67 per hour after 38 hours, £18.75 per hour after 44 hours or on Saturday, £25.00 per hour on Sundays.
