We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and creative Activities Co-Ordinator to work with our lovely residents, enriching their daily lives with meaningful and interesting activities. We are home to a range of residents, some of whom experience dementia, who all need to be included.

Full or Part Time considered, 6 hr days to be worked between Monday and Sunday with every other weekend off.

On successful completion of probation period, staff are enrolled onto a healthcare scheme which can help with dental, optical and medical costs.

**Applicants please note: due to the location of the home public transport can be limited, so please give consideration as to how you will ensure that you can attend work reliably.**

The main duties of the Activities Coordinator are to provide and co-ordinate a wide range of individual and group social activities to interest and stimulate the Residents according to their required need.
- To provide a suitable timetable of activities suited to the majority of Residents.
- To provide suitable activities for individual Residents when required according to their needs.
- To liaise with Home Manager/Liaison Officer prior to arranging outings to venues in the local community and booking entertainers to visit the Home to ensure correct staffing levels are maintained.
- To record activities undertaken daily in the Residents individual care plan and keep a comprehensive record of all the activities that are offered within the Home.
- To communicate to the Person in charge any change in the general condition or capability of any Resident while within your care.
- To arrange fund raising and promotional activities in order to maintain the Residents Social Activity Fund.
- To be responsible for ordering stock within the given budget and annual stocktaking.
- To adhere to the Company Policy on Social Activities.
- Ensure that all equipment relevant to the activities is in good working order and is safe to use.
- To be aware of the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
- To ensure that all accidents are reported in line with the management of accidents, incidents and near miss reporting.
- To adhere to the Home's policies and procedures.
- To inform Home Manager or the person in charge of the Home of any dangerous or potentially dangerous incident or occurrence in order to ensure the safe operation of the service.
- To attend relevant Health and Safety training sessions including Fire training and Moving & Handling.
- To assist in the safe storage maintenance and economical use for all the Home's supplies, aids and equipment.
- To take precautions to avoid injury or hazard to Residents, staff and visitors.
- To maintain total confidentiality regarding Residents and their medical condition.
- To promote at all times the Residents privacy, choice, personal dignity, independence and comfort.
- To encourage and maintain good communication and working relationships with all disciplines involved with the care of Residents
