Engineering Manager

As **Engineering Manager,** you will be responsible for the safe and efficient process design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and decommissioning of all process and utilities on site.
**Key accountabilities will include**:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient design, procurement, installation and maintenance activities on site
- Ensuring all engineering operations are carried out in accordance with safe working systems
- Implementation of Major Accident Prevention Policy and the Process Safety Management Policy
- Assistance in the identification and assessment of major accident hazards on site, as well as identifying and implementing mitigating measures as appropriate
- Managing the process safety management system on a day to day basis
- Delivering training including competence assessment
- Auditing and periodically reviewing the process safety management system
- Responsible for the planned, preventative and routine maintenance duties
- Budgetary and stock control of area of responsibility
- CAPEX control for site projects
- Management of the Permit to work system on site
- Management of site contractors and validation they are competent to work on site
- Ensuring HS & E regulations are complied with
- Participating in continuous improvements of systems and installations
- Operating a planned maintenance system
- Facilitating and implementing installations, fabrication and modifications on site
- Participating in an out of hours/call out as required
- Carrying out performance appraisals
- Carry out role of Site Incident Controller when required
**Qualifications and experience required**:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at BEng Level or above or equivalent
- Previous management experience within a multi-skills engineering position
- Development of/experience utilising planned maintenance software for asset integrity management
- Operating a Permit to Work system
- Extensive mechanical or electrical experience gained in a hands on role
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of statutory obligations and maintenance of records
- Design and delivery of training
- Supporting the preparation and management of budgets
- Provide and follow instructions
Knowledge and experience of working with chemical processes, particularly within a COMAH regulated facility
