We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Antrim, Nothern Ireland. This is a UK based role, where you will be leading in generating new contacts in the UK, closing new business,and managing existing accounts to unlock potential not currently realised in the UK and NI.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings and increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
- Contacting prospects and current customers by customer F2F visits and outbound business development calls
- Quoting customers and setting tasks and calls to follow up customers quotes, opportunities etc
- Researching the market and feedback developments/innovations that are needed in the market
- Researching larger opportunities and setting up agreements with such customers to remove the risk of business moving elsewhere
- Analyse customers and prospects to identify areas to increase profitability's and opportunities to sell additional products
- Challenge the status quo, look to improve our internal processes and procedures

**Requirements**:

- Proven track record in B2B Field based role essential
- A drive to seek new business
- Experience within the construction Industry might add value to the role but not essential
- High level of commercial acumen and professional negotiation skills
- Strong people skills, with ability to lead by example
- Excellent communication techniques
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external customers
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset
- Good Microsoft Office software skill
- Must be willing to travel all over the UK and to Northern Ireland

Hours - Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm (with a degree of flexibility)

Generally will be out on the road 4 days per week (depending on meetings booked)
