To help the business with the next stage of growth we are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to help us on our journey.

**Finance Assistant Role**

A pivotal role in our Finance department with key responsibilities ensuring the internal processes are used to proactively assist the group. In this varied role, you will undertake tasks such as credit control, transaction processing, payroll reparation and external procurement. At times, completion of other ad-hoc and administrative tasks required to support the wider business may be required.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Full ownership of Purchase ledger end to end
- Accurate financial bookkeeping and records
- Credit control
- VAT preparation
- Ensuring Finance processes are followed in regard to Supplier PO’s, expense claims etc
- Ensures any risks or issues are raised with line manager
- Providing administrative support to the team
- Creating and sending invoices to customers
- Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoice
- Running monthly payroll
- Have proven working knowledge and minimum of two years’ experience of financial administration within an organisation/business
- Have a proven working knowledge and experience of financial systems/software packages, desirable knowledge of Xero
- Have excellent computer skills, in particular good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Proven solid skills in numeracy, literacy, administration, organisational and communication
- Be able to work effectively under pressure individually, whilst remaining a strong team player
- Have interest in implementing systems and adapting procedures towards achieving ongoing improvement of financial management of the company’s activities
- Have a desire to learn and build a career in finance, with structured training and professional qualification ambition (AAT/ACA/CIMA or equivalent)
