An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join a well-established new house builder based in Leicester. Family-run for 130 years, we strive in delivering exceptional service to our customers and continue to create communities throughout the East Midlands.

The Jelson group of companies has a wide range of businesses with our main business being construction (new homes, industrial and commercial) including associated transport, plant & machinery, logistics and supply chain activities.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Matching invoices, price checking, coding and processing documents across multiple ledgers and companies
- Maintaining payments on hold list
- Processing sub-contract ledger with CIS calculations
- Processing bacs payment run, along with manual payments
- Maintaining and keeping up to date HMRC and insurance documents for sub-contractor
- Reconciling supplier statements & resolving any differences
- Dealing with internal/external queries effectively & professionally
- Scanning processed invoices on to system on daily basis
- Meeting month-end close deadlines & contributing to month-end process
- Setting up vendors & sub-contractor in line with company procedure
- Reporting ledger status on monthly basis, receivable, credit balance and payments unallocated.
- Reconcile debtor ledger against control accounts
- Petty cash - maintaining spreadsheet and handling cash
- Processing ah-doc cashbook invoice and allocating cash
- Cover for cashbook, sales ledger & cash posting
- Working flexible hours where required to meet deadlines
- Supervising the Ledger team
- Training staff and leading projects within your role
- Provide cover for absences in all areas of ledgers
- And such other duties as are within the scope and spirit of the job purpose, and the title of the post.

**Relevant Qualifications or Experience Required**
- Supervised a team previously
- Processing high volume of purchase & sub-contract invoice.
- Knowledge construction industry scheme (CIS)
- Self-motivated, can work independently, as well as team player
- Computer-literate with intermediary excel skills
- Strong organisational skills and problem-solving ability
- Experience of using Dynamic NAV would be beneficial
- 3-5 years working in Finance

- 2 x Purchase Ledger Clerks
- 1 x Junior Finance Assistant
