Our client is a well-recognised, world-renowned manufacturer, looking for a Buyer to join their busy company.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for administering the company's purchasing module to deliver cost-effective, timely, and value-added purchasing to all internal customers.

The Buyer will manage all aspects of procurement within the supply base with regards to total acquisition cost, on-time delivery, quality, continuous improvement, risks, and cost reduction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all procedures are followed and maintained to the highest personal, professional, and ethical standard
- Execute purchase orders via Sales Forecast, Order Book, Reorder Point, & Purchase Requisitions to meet inventory and customer KPI's
- Achieve cost reductions, on-time delivery & quality targets
- Manage and update ERP data
- Develop supplier partnerships to create a reliable and long-term supply source
- Research new suppliers, products, and manufacturing processes
- Identify and report cost savings in line with business objectives
- Negotiate, generate, and maintain supplier agreements

**Skills/ Experience**:

- Purchasing experience and an understanding of supply chain management/logistics
- A proven track record in cost reduction, and negotiation experience
- An understanding of engineering drawings
- A positive, can-do attitude
- A confident communicator
- Strong analysis, decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Fully or partially qualified within CIPS (or studying towards CIPS) or similar qualification
- Knowledge of SAP, D365 and Microsoft office suite of programs would be advantageous

Hours will be, 7:30-16:45 Mon-Thurs, and 7:30-12:30 Fri
