**About the role**:

- As an R & D Category Assistant at Reckitt, you will thrive in our fast-paced environment alongside a team of expert scientists dedicated to ensuring product safety and efficacy. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in supporting technical dossier management and analytical lab compliance.- Working predominantly in the lab as part of the Sore Throat team you will be involved in projects for Strepsils and Mucinex mainly with the opportunity to work on other products on an ad hoc basis. You will be accountable and responsible for the day-to-day execution of analytical and support related tasks relating to the Sore Throat category team workload or Analytical laboratory, as defined by the team Associate/Senior Associate or Analytical Laboratory Manager/Deputy.**Your responsibilities**:

- Day to day execution of analytical testing with approximately a 60/40 lab base.
- Processing data from analytical testing, report writing and authoring
- Understands and contributes to appropriate key performance indicators.
- Continuous improvement activities within their section.
- Execution of any reasonable request from their line manager.
- Challenging and passionate about Quality, taking responsibility and ownership for compliant processes that continually improve.
- To communicate issues effectively and appropriately to ensure timely resolution with all relevant parties whilst maintaining the positive image of Reckitt.

**The experience we're looking for**:

- Degree qualified in a Science based field such as Chemistry, Bio Chem, Bio Med or Pharma
- Experience of working within an Analytical Lab
- An understanding of the fundamentals behind the Analytical work involved
- HPLC experience/knowledge
- Experience of delivering development projects (experience within an OTC Healthcare environment an advantage)
- Knowledge of OTC analytical product development process
- Communication and influencing skills
- Comfortable working independently and partnering with cross functional teams within a matrix organisation
