Delivery Principal (Delivery Lead)
AND Introduction
At AND, our mission is to close the global digital skills gap, working with clients to accelerate the development of digital capabilities. In practice, we help ambitious leaders and organisations to build the teams, products, processes and even operational structures they need to close the digital skills gap within their organisation today, so that they thrive tomorrow.
Our Club Practice Group
The Delivery Principal role sits within one of our Clubs (business unit) in a senior team called a Practice Group (PG). The PG is a group of SMEs whose role it is to drive best practice within the club through setting standards for the Club and providing guidance to colleagues and clients alike.
We’ll look to you to inspire, guide and challenge our teams to grow through mentoring, coaching and thought leadership. You’ll also work on client engagements leading on complex projects, building relationships with senior stakeholders and helping to establish best practice within our client organisations where needed.
The Delivery Part
As a Delivery Principal, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of AND’s engagements. You will be supporting clients and ANDis with knowledge of the most suitable delivery practices. As a result, you will need to be able to:
- Exhibit extensive experience as a Project Manager, Programme Manager, Delivery Lead or something similar
- Have strong understanding of a variety of agile delivery methodologies - particularly Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile approaches (e.g. SAFe, LeSS, Nexus)
- Steer multiple squads or teams at the same time in a complex product development environment. We want to know you are comfortable with the scale and context switching that comes with a role like this
- Experience with managing Product Delivery Teams, working with software engineers, product analysts, UX Designers and other roles involved in Product Delivery
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and a methodical, data driven approach to problem solving
- Have experience of, and be comfortable managing stakeholders at all levels. Experience of working in Professional Services in a client-facing environment is preferable.
- Have a good understanding of the commercial implications of working to a budget (even if working Time & Materials) and ensuring we are delivering on client outcomes.
- Be an active member of the AND Digital Interviewing team
Inspire Others
- Remain hands-on by championing and influencing the delivery direction of engagements.
- Provide guidance and advice to clients; be able to observe the problems closely and propose applicable solutions
- Coach, mentor and upskill a team through implementing delivery practices such as scrum and kanban
- Be hands-on with development teams; you’ll understand what good looks like and guide them to visualise the bigger picture
- Give and receive regular feedback to help the community within your Club to develop and be more effective on client projects
Joining AND
From the work we deliver, to the way we serve and support our people, we work hard to ensure that there’s nowhere quite like AND. But joining a company is a two-way street: the fit has to work on both sides. So before you apply, here’s three key things to understand about us:
- We’re built for people - like, real humans. Not ‘resources’ or ‘staff’. That means happiness and wellbeing really do matter to us, and we hate unnecessary hierarchy and bureaucracy.
