Interim Financial Controller|Outside IR35|Blackburn area / hybrid|Circa £400 / £450 per day
Axon Moore are working with a high growth, multi-site manufacturing business with HO operations in the Lancashire area.
You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching a team of transactional and trainee accountants, putting in robust processes and making improvements to existing processes to maintain the financial integrity of the business and financial statements.
Plus ensuring and overseeing the preparation of timely, accurate management information to support business strategy and decision making. Develop and sustain effective and robust processes
**Duties**:

- Ownership of monthly reporting including variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation and reports for full MI
- Reviewing and analysing financial information against budget and reporting deviations to plan.
- Ownership of team performance for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and production of management accounts.
- Developing business cases for capex investment with a critical review before passing for approval.
- Involvement in large projects across finance and the wider business, including managing fixed asset register and spend against budget/approval.
- Support in developing financial policies, standards and controls within the business.
- Monitoring, controlling and reporting on capital investment projects.
- Managing cash flow and working capital within planned levels
- Identify cost reduction opportunities in fixed costs including operational efficiencies
- Support in developing and responsible for maintain KPI dashboards
- Developing and maintaining strong financial controls and a new ERP system implementation/upgrade
- Ownership of budget, year end and forecasting for area of responsibilities.
- To carry out other duties reasonably requested by the Finance Director which fall within the remit of the role and the capabilities of the post holder.
- First point of contact for Auditors and Banking, escalate matters as required to the FD.
- Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and advisors
- Support the Head Office finance team in recurring reports and group reports, as and when required.

Person Specification:
We are looking for an experienced interim to steady the ship and make improvements. You must be able to work in a very fast paced multisite environment, be accustomed to improving processed and have strong ERP skills.
- 4+ years of senior/management roles within finance
- Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential
- Extensive data analysis experience and understanding of financials
- Strong excel and systems skills
- A qualified accountant with a technically strong accounts background
- System implementation/improvement experience would be beneficial
- Multi-site experience would be beneficial
