Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

chatterbox day nursery is a small family run nursery, our approach to learning is to provide a home from home environment that Helps all children have a sense of belonging. our nursery encourages children to learn through play by providing them with wide variety of authentic objects and Loose parts, this approach to learning means that each individual child takes complete lead on their learning journey, giving staff time to step back and reflect on each child as an individual, scaffold their learning while planning in the moment,,which in turn creates a rich simulating environment. We’re looking for someone who feels confident in empowering our children and in turn help to create strong competent learners.

**Duties**:

- Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and naptime
- Assist with personal care routines, such as diaper changing and toilet training
- Monitor children's progress and communicate with parents or guardians about their child's day
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children

**Skills**:

- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other nursery staff members
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
