**We’re looking for two Trainee Educational Psychologists (who must currently be completing Doctoral Training as an Educational Psychologist)**

**Salary**:£29,872 - £37,473 per annum

**Hours**:Full Time (37 hours per week)

**Location**:Cumberland Council sites include Carlisle and Workington

**Contract**:Fixed Term (two years until end of Doctoral training period)

**About this opportunity**
Cumberland Psychology Service provides support to schools and settings in North and West Cumbria, including the Lake District. We are a high performing, friendly team that provides a balance between intellectual challenge, and belonging and camaraderie. We value opportunities to learn together and support each other, working to develop a community of practice through regular peer support.

The team provides salaried placements for Trainee EPs and Assistant EPs, as well as employing Behaviour and Emotional Wellbeing Officers to work alongside us.

We have excellent relationships with our schools and provide various flexible models of service delivery, including for example, consultative approaches. The team regularly contribute to whole school and systemic support, including ELSA training/supervision.

We are keen to hear from Educational Psychologists who would appreciate the opportunity to share their ideas to enhance and develop our work.

**Key responsibilities**
- Working alongside a supervising Educational Psychologist, act as the first point of contact for a group of schools/settings, delivering high-quality, efficient services.
- Support the provision of psychological advice to meet Cumberland Council’s statutory commitments and priorities.
- Collaborate with other agencies and partners to ensure coordinated, integrated service delivery.
- Champion person-centred approaches to engage children, young people, and their families.
- Contribute to the development of Cumberland Psychological Service, including performance improvement initiatives and cross-team support.
- Engage in supervision and appraisal, and uphold professional development.
- Promote awareness of the service’s achievements and foster community engagement.
