Medical Centre Supervisor

Based in HMS Excellent, this role is central to the effective delivery of the administration and reception support service to the Medical Centre, encompassing a broad and varied range of tasks and responsibilities, while leading a small team. There may be a requirement to occasionally support the Medical Centres in HMS Excellent and HMS Sultan.

**Responsibilities**

With requisite training, provide and facilitate a full administration service to the Establishment Medical Centre, developing a good working knowledge of the administration service requirement, including:

- Reception
- Medical Records/History
- Medical Downgrades
- Naval Service Medical Board of Survey
- Hospital Appointments
- Medical Secretary

This will be achieved by hands-on administration, supervision of the administration team and close liaison with the clinical staff. Duties include:

- Operating the Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP)
- Complying with current Service Regulations (BRd 1750A/BRd 1991), Medical Centre Standing Orders and Desktop Instructions
- Maintaining medical confidentiality at all times in accord with the Caldicott Principles and Guidelines and complying with the General Data Protection Regulations and System Operation Security Instructions
- Process and maintain statistical data
- Actively promoting a safe working culture and adhere to the Health and Safety procedures, processes and the law
- Carrying out any other tasks as determined by the Interserve Line Manager, including support and cover for other staff in HMS Collingwood and occasionally other contracted sites in the Portsmouth area, when required

**Knowledge skills & experience**
- Good track record of delivering high quality administration support with the ability to work as part of a team
- Strong organisation with the ability to prioritise and experience of working to tight deadlines
- Demonstrable supervisor experience or ability
- Good interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of DMICP (desirable but training will be given)
- Experience of working within the medical administration environment (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of military rank structures (desirable)
- Excellent customer facing skills ability

**Additional Information**
- SC security clearance required (Right to Work in the UK essential)
- Enhanced DBS Clearance (to be arranged)
- The Contract operates a 37.5 hour working week between the hours of 0730 and 1700 Mon to Fri only.
- Required to wear approved company work wear
