Accounts Assistant Computer Operator

Are you an accounts professional with a wealth of small business accounts experience, looking for 4/5 hours a day? Ideally living in Market Harborough or nearby, either Northants or Leicestershire.
We are seeking a new pair of hands for our Accounts responsibilities.
As a small business, the role is varied and thought provoking, on occasion sitting in on HR meetings for example, working directly with the Company Accountant.
An idea of tasks:
- Month ends, journals, prepayments & accruals.
- Weekly supplier payment run.
- Bank Reconciliations, including Amazon, eBay, and our website.
- Petty Cash.
- Sales and purchase ledger.
- Utilities negotiation and management.
- Updating and management of Cost Price Master (Excel-based).
- Credit control, statements, letters & phone calls.
- Employee time tracking.
- Approving and managing employee holidays.
- Sage Data checking
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on computer systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functioning
- Maintain accurate records of system operations and error logs
- Follow established procedures for data backup and recovery
- Collaborate with IT team to implement system upgrades and enhancements
- Provide technical support to end users as needed
Basically, everything that occurs in a small business accounts office importing and distributing small value goods in quantity.
We use Sage50 Accounts and experience is required.
You need to be highly efficient, self-motivated, and able to deal with a role that includes data that is not purely accounts-related.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: Between £15.50 and £17 per hour, 4/5 hours a day, Monday to Friday. overtime when needed.

Experience is essential:
- Bookkeeping/ Accounting: Minimum 3 years (required)
- Sage50 Accounts: Minimum 3 years
- Excel Advanced (good understanding V-lookup and similar)
