**The role **

The role of **Head of Business Intelligence** is incredibly important to us.

In our Marketing department we have already established Data Science, marketing technology projects and Business Intelligence functions. The Radius BI platform is based around **Amazon Redshift**, **Salesforce **and **Tableau**.

We are now looking for a talented and experienced BI professional to take our Business Intelligence offering to the next phase of its evolution.

In this role you will deliver substantial improvements to the platform, additional reporting capabilities, and enhance the support services that are provided to our end user community.

This will include managing the existing team of BI analysts, report developers and ETL developers and working with key stakeholders to understand and address business needs and challenges.

Data science is an increasing focus of the organisation and so you will also work closely with our Head of Data Science and will need to be literate in data science disciplines.

The role will report to the **Group Marketing Director** and will be based from our Head Office in **Crewe, Cheshire**.

**What would your day to day look like?**

We’d love to discuss the role with you in more detail. Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Taking a lead role in the strategic planning and implementation of the BI solutions used across the organisation
- Developing strong working relationships with business stakeholders to deliver reporting capabilities and enhanced support services that will increase user adoption and perception of BI across the organisation
- Working with the business to identify and agree improvement opportunities, and managing the process for prioritising, scheduling and delivering the pipeline of development activity
- Reviewing the existing BI architecture, data warehouse and reports to identify recommendations for improvement, including a plan for implementing the agreed improvements
- Reviewing the existing BI end user support process to identify recommendations for improvement, including a plan for implementing the agreed improvements
- Ensuring that agreed improvements are delivered on time, to budget and that the deployed solutions meet business expectations
- Ensuring that end user adoption of the BI capabilities are maximised through support and education, and that appropriate continuous improvement activities are being performed to manage ongoing usage and end user satisfaction
- Ensuring that changes / improvements are effectively communicated and implemented
- Defining BI / visualisation best practices and providing education and assurance to ensure these best practices are being adhered to
- Managing, coaching and mentoring members of the BI development team, ensuring they are well motivated and delivering high quality outputs
- Ensuring that BI documentation is appropriate, up to date and available to relevant stakeholders

**What do we expect of you?**

You will be an experienced Business Intelligence leader with previous experience in a similar role, driving change through continuous improvement

Your background should include:

- Experience of using BI technologies to deliver effective, high quality reporting capabilities in a complex business environment
- Ability to provide the vision for how insight can be delivered through BI technologies, and how this can drive business / financial improvement
- Experience of implementing visualisation technologies such as Tableau
- Experience of managing, planning and delivering a pipeline of improvements
- Ability to influence stakeholders and to effectively manage customer expectations
- Technical aptitude and an ability to provide a communication bridge between the business and BI team
- Experience of CRM deployments (ideally Salesforce)
- Broad commercial knowledge with sound business acumen
- Ability to demonstrate thought leadership and effect strategic change
