On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Qualified Fund Lawyer for a 6-month contract based in London. It is a hybrid model. We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and also offer workplace accommodations to ensure you have what you need to effectively deliver in your role. Purpose of the role: The role involves delivering legal advice and well-reasoned commercial risk assessments on a range of issues, including fund and product structuring, supporting strategic growth and transformation initiatives, and advising on regulatory change projects. What you'll do: Provide legal advice across a broad range of asset management matters. Deliver clear, commercial risk assessments to support business decisions. Advise on fund and product structuring. Support strategic growth, transformation initiatives, and regulatory change projects. Responsible for providing legal advisory support, overseeing structuring and product development activities, and contributing to key corporate and regulatory change projects. The skills you'll need: A deep understanding of the asset management business/value chain with proven experience and knowledge across various fund jurisdictions (specifically UK, Luxembourg, Ireland) and common fund structures (e.g. SICAVs, ICAVs, OEICs, SIFs, s110s, LPs) and the relevant regulatory framework applicable to asset managers (including AIFMD, UCITs, MiFID, EMIR, SFTR and SFDR) Familiar with and experience advising on fund structures and fund documentation, preferably across various jurisdictions (specifically Luxembourg and Ireland) to be in a position to support and guide the business in the development and implementation of new product Experienced in drafting and negotiating fund documents, AIFM agreements, custody and depositary agreements, side letters, term sheets as well as investment management agreements and investment advisory agreements for segregated accounts and mandates Proven capability in managing external counsel in a multi-jurisdictional context and capable of building and developing relationships with key internal stakeholders Funds/asset management Qualified Lawyer with experience of working in the funds team of a law firm and/or in-house team of an asset manager/financial service provider Next steps We have a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture at M&G plc, underpinned by our policies and our employee-led networks who provide networking opportunities, advice and support for the diverse communities our colleagues represent.
