Learning Support Assistant – Wandsworth – November 2025 Start

Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Contract: November 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: Minimum £444 per week (PAYE)

Are you an aspiring teacher or psychologist looking to gain valuable school experience supporting children with additional learning needs?

This Learning Support Assistant role in Wandsworth offers a fantastic opportunity to work with pupils who need extra help to thrive in the classroom. As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll provide targeted 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils build confidence, independence, and engagement.

The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and SEN specialists to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. You'll help pupils access learning, support communication skills, and encourage their emotional and academic growth.

The Role:

  • Support pupils with SEND or additional learning needs
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Encourage confidence and independence through tailored support
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday (08:30–15:30, term-time only)

We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Empathetic, adaptable, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply
