As a Quality Control Managerfor Novus, you'll get to see the impact and improvements your role delivers to your customers and team every day - taking your job satisfaction to whole new levels. This varied and challenging role offers you the opportunity to work with a skilled professional team, in a secure environment with long-term contracts and the opportunity to grow and learn.

Along with utilising your Quality Control Management skills in Social Housing, planned refurbishment works you'll also be looking for ways to add real value through robust reporting and timely document control from inception to handover and sharing a right first time approach to ensure a seamless service/delivery of works. Supported by your peers, team, and management to solve problems and trusted to make decisions to grow and develop relationships and revenue.

Responsible for ensuring the best practice business processes for management and delivery of works completed, including data analysis and management information (MI) to identify trends to make the most informed decisions to drive contract improvements. Ensuring the client and customer journey are at the forefront of delivery, meeting their needs through the consistent delivery of contractual KPI's & objectives

An outline of your responsibility as a Quality Control Manager

Support and encourage best practice delivery, across the Operational team including;

  • Ensuring company's policies and procedures are being adhered to
  • Each stage of the installation process should be inspected, snagged and defects corrected before the next stage, including independent inspections
  • Materials are correctly installed in accordance with the specification and manufacturers recommendations
  • Supervision competency and the works of the trades people and supervisors to ensure maintenance of satisfactory quality and progress.
  • Actively monitoring the KPIs to identify any areas of concern, working with the relevant manager to recover any dips in performance.
  • Identify potential resource improvement: Subcontractor, Supplier and direct labour
  • Stakeholder management, liaising with clients and internal Contracts Managers.
  • Review IT systems performance and support the delivery team to install the system and ensure it's used to its full potential.
  • Provide any data analysis and data requests, compiling reports where necessary

About You
The successful Quality Control Managerwill have strong experience in quality control ideally working on planned refurbishment works, within Social Housing/tenanted properties and have a good working knowledge of Internal or External works, understanding delivery through to completion/ handover. Commercial awareness ensuring costs are meeting budget requirements along with overseeing KPI's and best practice. Great communication skills to build relationships with all Stakeholders. SMSTS or associated NVQ would be beneficial but not essential, as well as being confident with IT and proficient in MS Office.

You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence to travel to sites daily. The role will also require a DBS check.
