Carriera is proud to partner with an independent award winning property and construction consultancy who are based in South East London. Our client has been established for over 40 years and boasts a headcount of over 200 construction professionals offering a variety of services (building surveying, project management, cost management, architecture and H&S/ CDM) to their client base across the built environment.

The business has recently established a CDM/ H&S department which now requires an aspiring H&S/ CDM Advisor to join the team and oversee a portfolio of residential (public sector), education, healthcare, commercial, regeneration and local authority projects across London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious H&S professional with 3-18 months CDM/PD advisory experience, to join a well respected consultancy during an exciting period of growth. The role would suit a H&S/ CDM Advisor from a consultancy environment who has previous experience of offering 2015 CDM advice to clients. The business would also consider H&S professionals from a contractor background who are looking to move into the world of consultancy.

Responsibilities

  • Offer a variety of health & safety services to a diverse client base across the built environment.
  • Manage the H&S file, review construction phase plans, maintain pre-construction information and conduct design risk reviews.
  • Attend design team and client meetings and offer advice relating to risk.
  • Provide a CDM Advisor service to clients.
  • Ensure all RAMS are in place on projects.
  • Carryout site safety inspections and site safety audits
  • Develop new and existing client relationships.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
  • Professional membership to IOSH and APS (desirable).
  • Excellent knowledge and hands on experience of 2015 CDM Regulations including all associated documentation.
  • Have worked in the property & construction sector for the last 2 years in a H&S capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
