Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest quality standards while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

Duties

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, promoting skill development and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Handle any issues that may arise during service, ensuring timely resolutions to maintain service quality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within a restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to innovate menu items while adhering to budgetary constraints.
