Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated female Sleep In Support Workers to provide high-quality care to individuals within our female only service. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to support vulnerable adults ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
The role will require you to settle in the persons we support into a night-time routine and ready for bed for a few hours prior to sleeping. For each shift you will be provided with a personal room and bed for the night. During the night you may be required to assist the persons supported if they wake.
Duties
- Socialise with the supported persons during the early part of the night until they are in bed & asleep
- To offer supper to the people supported & general support to get ready for sleep.
- To help with the Persons Supported during the night in the event of an emergency.
- If you are required to leave the premises such as to accompany a supported person to hospital in an emergency then you will be remunerated separately.
- To read and write reports & to take part in staff meetings and attend training sessions as required.
- To be familiar with the needs and care plans in place for each supported persons.
- To sit with a Person we support if they are ill, while awaiting further medical assistance from a doctor or ambulance.
- To assist with some domestic chores before going to sleep if required.
- Between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. help staff to attend to people supported if required in the morning.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required.
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care settings is highly desirable.
- Values the rights of people with a disability.
- Understands the needs of people with Learning Disabilities etc.
- Able to assist with personal care, if required.
- Committed to equal opportunities and shows value and respect for everyone.
- To be able to follow and comply with company policy.
- To be committed to the safety and well-being of the people supported and demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding adults.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £84.50-£85.80 per day
