Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Expeditor to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, maintaining high standards of food quality and service. Responsibilities
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Monitor food preparation progress and communicate updates effectively to servers and guests
- Ensure food presentation meets quality standards before serving
- Assist with meal assembly and plating when necessary, supporting the culinary team
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the expediting area
- Uphold food safety standards in all aspects of work, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy service periods
- Support delivery drivers by organising orders for prompt dispatch when required
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest inquiries
- Contribute to a positive guest experience through attentive service and professional communication
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food preparation is highly desirable
- Experience as a delivery driver or in kitchen roles such as cooking or meal preparation is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team
- Familiarity with guest services, serving, and hotel or barista experience is beneficial
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good understanding of phone etiquette and professional conduct in customer interactions
