Following the former Paralegal in the team successfully starting a training contract with the firm, HCR Law are looking for multiple, diligent candidates to join our high-performing Corporate team.
 
1 position will be stationed at our newly renovated Hereford office, working directly alongside Corporate Partner and Head of Hereford. The other position will be situated at our Wye Valley (Ross-on-Wye) office, working directly alongside Corporate Partner and Head of Wye Valley (this same Partner has and active role is our EDI group). These teams in neighbouring offices work closely with one another, both advising clients ranging from private companies to private equity houses and management teams, on a full range of corporate matters. 
  
The Paralegal role objective is to undertake routine legal tasks including:
  • Undertaking legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Drafting legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates.
  • Ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in line with GDPR.
  • Provide legal support to the team and act as a legal resource, providing help where required.
  • Diary management for the team, ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking legal processes, under supervision, such as routine file management.
  • Take an active role with the Paralegal and Trainee (PT) group and attend networking events or careers fairs.
  • Take an active part in promoting the firm and department through social media channels such as LinkedIn, X and Facebook.


About You

As a Paralegal, we are looking for you to have: 
  • Legal education (LPC/SQE or corporate electives taken during LLB would be desirable).
  • Previous experience within a legal environment or corporate department would be highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational capability with attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
  • Proactive self-starter who demonstrates a willingness to learn.
  • Client service focussed.
  • Strong IT knowledge with accurate typing capability. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. 
 
We would be looking for the successful candidates to start between late November and spring 2026, depending on notice periods and availability.
