Job summary:
This role is primarily responsible for supporting the flow of orders throughout the production department. This is achieved by ensuring all machines are loaded with correct material, tools & paperwork to complete the orders as required, in line with the On Time Delivery requirements.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
:
- Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any safety policies and protocols outlined by the company.
- Utilize the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure optimal workflow at all work centers to achieve on-time delivery.
- Stage orders from warehouse and work centers within the site. This includes ensuring all necessary materials, components and tools are available and issued with the production order to the work center
- Verify that tooling, gauges, and programs are stated on production orders.
- Organize materials, components, and tools into complete kits ready for setup, and transport job kits from storage area to designated work centers.
- Process/Collect completed operations from machining work centers and complete return process for tools and gauges to reduce waiting times between operations.
- Works closely with the Production Supervisor on any orders or material problems, which could affect the capacity plan or stop production.
- Perform job in compliance with Company's Quality Policy (ISO 9000 and AS9100).
- Implement 6S principles to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce waste in material handling processes.
- Additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Skills and Experience:
- 2-3 Years of experience working within a Manufacturing environment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and strong communication skills
- Proficient in departmental processes and knowledge
- Computer skills (Preferred)
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings (Preferred)
