Midday Supervisor
**General Information**
The following information is provided to assist staff joining the Trust to understand and appreciate the work, content of the post and the role they are to play in the organisation. Whilst every effort has been made to outline all the duties and responsibilities of the post, a document such as this does not permit every item to be specified in detail. Broad headings have been used which assume all the usual associated routines.
**Purpose of the Post**
The main purpose of the post is to provide supervision for students at lunchtime with the support of Senior Staff. The main areas of work will be in the dining room and the playground/field or areas of the school used during the lunch break, including areas where the children wait or queue for their meal. A good standard of behaviour is required, and it is important that this should be maintained throughout the lunchtime period. The lunchtime supervisor must act as a responsible caring adult with the health, safety, and welfare of the children always in mind; they must show conduct which commands respect; and must see that the students behave at all times in a sensible and appropriate manner. In the event of any emergency, you would be expected to support Senior Staff in following first aid or evacuation procedures.
The lunchtime supervisor should show a commitment to the aims, policies, and ethos of the Trust and strive to maintain these through personal conduct and effective relationships with colleagues and students.
A full induction and training programme will be provided. This will include induction to school systems and procedures and school safeguarding, health and safety and managing behaviour training. You will also be given the opportunity to gain a 1 day first aid training certificate and Level 1 Food Hygiene City & Guilds Certificate which will be funded by the school.
