Job Summary

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Process Engineer to optimise key manufacturing processes and enhance yield and quality. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day plant operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure that technical developments deliver measurable performance benefits across the production environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Optimise process performance, efficiency, and product quality
  • Monitor key control parameters, investigate deviations, and support troubleshooting
  • Improve energy and fuel efficiency while maintaining quality standards
  • Develop and maintain process control plans with operations teams
  • Use PLC tools and statistical methods to reduce variation and improve stability
  • Lead measurement system improvements and ensure quality compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation projects (DMAIC, Six Sigma, Agile)
  • Maintain clear documentation of process changes and trial outcomes
  • Manage small capital projects alongside daily technical support

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Chemical, Process or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Proven technical and process engineering expertise
  • Strong understanding of optimisation methods and core engineering principles
  • Experience with CI, problem solving and error-proofing (Poka Yoke desirable)
  • Awareness of ISO9001/14001/45001 advantageous
  • Strong analytical and data presentation skills
  • Understanding of cost and financial impacts
  • IOSH Managing Safely
