Lean Engineer

Job Summary
We're seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Lean Engineer to strengthen operational performance across our manufacturing site. This role will focus on improving process flow, eliminating waste, and supporting teams to adopt efficient and consistent working practices. The successful candidate will help deliver tangible improvements in safety, quality, output, and reliability.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive Lean initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and process consistency
- Analyse performance data to identify issues and lead structured problem-solving activities
- Apply Lean methodologies such as 5S, VSM, Kaizen, Standard Work, and error-proofing
- Support improvements in equipment and process performance, including OEE
- Facilitate collaborative workshops aimed at resolving persistent challenges
- Introduce visual controls and promote disciplined daily management routines
- Carry out process reviews and identify opportunities to simplify workflows
- Provide coaching to develop Lean capability across operational teams
- Oversee small improvement projects in addition to routine Lean support
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or comparable Lean qualification
- Hands-on experience implementing Lean practices within a manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to analyse issues, reduce variation, and embed robust solutions
- Familiarity with Poka Yoke and other defect-prevention methods
- Understanding of key ISO standards (9001/14001/45001/50001) is beneficial
- Strong data analysis, reporting, and communication skills
- Able to influence stakeholders at all levels and support cultural change
