Job Overview
We are seeking experienced CITB-accredited Freelance Trainers to deliver SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) courses. The successful candidates will have strong communication skills, excellent knowledge of current health and safety legislation, and a passion for helping learners achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver CITB SMSTS and SSSTS courses (both initial and refresher) in line with CITB standards and course syllabus.
- Conduct both classroom and online training sessions using engaging, interactive delivery methods.
- Assess learners' understanding and ensure all CITB assessment and documentation requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate course records and submit results promptly.
- Provide feedback and support to learners throughout the training process.
- Ensure training delivery reflects current legislation, HSE guidance, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- CITB-Approved Trainer status for SMSTS and/or SSSTS courses (essential).
- Valid current CITB accreditation and trainer number.
- Strong knowledge of current UK Health & Safety Regulations and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience delivering training in both classroom and virtual environments.
- Access to suitable training equipment and presentation tools (for remote delivery).
- Right to work in the UK and ability to invoice as a self-employed contractor.
Desirable
- Ability to deliver additional CITB or NPORS-accredited courses.
- Experience delivering other construction or health & safety-related qualifications.
- Flexibility to travel to different sites as required.
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: £200.00-£300.00 per day
